Your Questions - February, 2016

I have been married for nearly 20 years. Since moving into a new house, my husband has completely changed for the worse. I have watched your videos on evil eye and magic. How will I be able to determine whether one of these things have occurred? Thank you

All praise be to Allah and peace and blessings be upon the Prophet
Since you have taken a new house and you feel that your husband has changed and the reasons for change could be many, let me advice you a solution:
If it could be that he might have taken a huge loan to get a new house and as a result he might be getting irritated even on small issues due to the pressure of repaying debt. If this is the case then both of you must learn and recite this Dua constantly
Allahumma akfini bi halalika ‘an haramika wa aghnini bi fadlika ‘amman siwaka (O Allah, suffice me with what You have permitted so that that I have no need of that which You have forbidden, and make me independent of means by Your bounty so that I have no need of anyone besides You).
Recite it three times atleast and see to it that you recite it every morning and evening.
It is said in authentic narrations that once the Prophet, peace be upon him spotted Ali r.a.a sitting sad and stressed. The Prophet, peace be upon him inquired the reason. Ali r.a.a said : I am burdened under a mountanous debt. The Prophet , peace be upon him replied, Shall I teach you a dua, which if you recite every morning and evening, Allah will cause a way to repay your debts?
The Prophet commanded him to recite: Allahumma akfini bi halalika ‘an haramika wa aghnini bi fadlika ‘amman siwaka
Ali r.a.a said: Since then I started reciting the dua and soon my entire debt which was huge like a mountain was paid off because Allah opened ways and sources for me.
If you fear or doubt about an evil eye then you must recite the Masnoon duas every morning and evening
1. “Bismillah illathi la yadurru ma’a ismihi shay’un fi’l-ard wa la fi’l-sama’ wa huwa al-samee’ ul-‘aleem (In the name of Allah with Whose name nothing is harmed on earth nor in heaven, and He is the All-Hearing, All-Knowing)” (Recite three times each after Fajr salah and magrib salah)
The Prophet peace be upon him said: Who ever recites this dua thrice in the morning and evening will not be harmed by any evil eye or Jinn or Shaytan
2. Three Quls ( Qul Huwa Allahu ahad, Qul ‘Aoodhu bi Rabb il-Falaq and Qul ‘a’oodhu bi Rabb il-nas) to be recited as follows
a) Thrice each after fajr and maghrib as well as before going to sleep
b) Once each after Zuhr, Asr and Isha
3. Recite Surah al Baqarah and Surah Imran in your house every day if possible because there are sahih Hadith that says that shaytan flees from the houses where Surah al Baqarah is recited.
You can also recite the surahs in parts and complete it within three days.
May Allah ease your hardships, Ameen.
 And Allaah knows best.
