If there is a difference of opinion amongst ourselves (or two parties), what should be our role?
O those who believe, obey Allah and obey the Messenger and those in authority among you. Then, if you quarrel about something, revert it back to Allah and the Messenger, if you believe in Allah and the Last Day. That is good, and the best at the end.
[An-Nisa 4:59]
♦️ Don't fight amongst yourselves. Resolve your issues amicably. If there ever is an issue, look up for answers in the Quran and Sunnah. Whatever solution is acknowledged by the Qur'an and Sunnah, accept that and whatever solution is not accepted by Qur'an and Sunnah, leave it. This is the best (and correct) way to resolve issues.
???? Hadith:
Narrated Al-Irbad bin Sariyah:
One day after the morning Salat, the Messenger of Allah ﷺ exhorted us to the extent that the eyes wept and the hearts shuddered with fear. A man said: 'Indeed this is a farewell exhortation. [So what] do you order us, O Messenger of Allah?'
He said: 'I order you to have Taqwa of Allah, and to listen and obey, even in the case of an Ethiopian slave. Indeed, whoever among you lives, he will see much difference. Beware of the newly invented matters, for indeed they are astray. Whoever among you sees that, then he must stick to my Sunnah and the Sunnah of the rightly guided Khulafa, cling to it with the molars.'
[Tirmidhi 2676]
*‼️ Conclusion:*
️ Adhering to the Qur'an and Sunnah is the only key to success and salvation. A deed, no matter how righteous it appears to you, if it is not acknowledged by Qur'an and Sunnah, performing it would lead us astray.
