Write an introductory description about yourself exclusively for your future spouse?
As-salaam Alaikum Wa Rahmatullahi Wa Barakatuhu. Before I begin, I would like to point out that I am not accustomed to expressing myself in writing, especially on such an unfamiliar platform but as they say, there's always a first time for everything and on that notion, I would like to try and give it my all and ask Allah (S.W.T) to help me complete this step as best as possible. Please do bear with this until the very end (Jazak Allahu Khairan) - Mankind was created to serve at the pleasure of Allah (SWT) so when it comes to Islam, we should all have a natural inclination towards prioritizing It over everything else. It's what I would like to call a reflex action or a gut feeling, something that comes naturally when confronted with a dilemma. I am trying to live by those very words. Admittedly, easier said than done in a world clouded with fitnah. The secret to staying true to those words is to have Taqwa (God-consciousness); a lot of it. A God-conscious person is considered to be pious on all fronts of the religion; be it salah. siyam, forgoing one's own desires, and so on. That is the benchmark I have set for myself and I strive every day to achieve it with the help of Allah (SWT). I have a lot to learn in regards to Deen but I must count myself fortunate, Alhamdulillah to have been blessed with peers and teachers who are there to offer me valuable counsel, whenever I am in need of some. The said teachers hold halaqa sessions which I attend from time to time and I try to apply what I learn from these sessions in my daily life as consistently as I can. As far as my education is concerned I've completed my Bachelors In Human Resource Management in 2016 and went on to secure an MBA in Project Management, Alhamdulillah. At the moment, I am pursuing a Ph.D. in Management Philosophy and helping a friend out with his consultancy business(from time to time), and trying to gain experience from it simultaneously. As for my family, there's mum, dad, and myself. As clichéd as it may sound but I have to say it; I could not have become what I am today without my parents. All the important lessons about values, morals, and humility I learned from them and I cannot be grateful enough. Mum's a housewife and dad's retired. Back in the day, dad was involved in the Automotive Industry in my country as well as in Dubai and later on took charge of the family estate and is still involved in it to this day. We are very close to each other. They mean the world to me. As mentioned by Prophet Muhammad (S.A.W) “The pleasure of the lord is the pleasure of a parent, and the wrath of the lord is the wrath of a parent.” for which I consider it an objective of mine to be able to keep them pleased at all times. I feel a sense of fulfillment whenever I am able to meet their expectations. I consider myself to be tech-savvy. I like reading about, watching, and testing consumer gadgets; building computers, and troubleshooting them. I spend part of my leisure time playing strategy games. Furthermore, I am a sports fanatic, specifically football. I love to watch and take part in the aforementioned whenever possible. I am also a firm believer in eating clean and staying fit. Our body is an Amanah granted to us by Allah (SWT) and we should do our best to take good care of it. When circumstances permit, I enjoy attending Islamic lectures. Some of my favourite daees include - Shaikh Aseem Al Hakim, Dr. Bilal Philips, and Ustadh Shareef El Arabi. As far as socializing is concerned I must say that I am very selective in this regard. What I am referring to is the authentic Hadith where Prophet Muhammad Muhammad (S.A.W) said: A person is likely to follow the faith of his friend, so look whom you befriend.
Describe your ideal spouse
I personally don't have high demands from my spouse to be. An ideal spouse is one who seeks marriage not just to fulfill their self-desires but one who does it because it is one of the sunnah's of Prophet Muhammad (S.A.W) as narrated by Al-Haakim in al-Mustadrak from Anas: “Whomever Allaah blesses with a righteous wife, He has helped him with half of his religion, so let him fear Allaah with regard to the other half.” To put it plainly, an ideal spouse is one who is religiously committed. This is the most important attribute I am looking for. She should be a Muslima who tries her level best to adhere to the laws and teachings of Islam in her daily life which brings us back to Taqwa I mentioned earlier; I am seeking someone who shares a similar belief in this regard. Aside from that, I am looking for someone who is down to earth and is able to speak their mind freely and hold a conversation. Someone enthusiastic about fitness is a plus but not a requirement. Other than that, I am a firm believer in supporting each other's dreams and seeing them come to fruition as long they are within the boundaries of Shariah. - As I have mentioned earlier, I am quite attached to my parents, and being the only child I must keep my parents with me to be able to look after them. So naturally, after marriage, I wish for my spouse to move in with me and my parents. - I will be providing for all of my wife's needs so she isn't required to work. Instead, what I ask of her is to join me in the journey of getting closer to Allah(SWT) Jazāk Allāhu Khairan
