Write an introductory description about yourself exclusively for your future spouse?
ٱلسَّلَامُ عَلَيْكُمْ بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم To me religion is most important factor when it comes to looking for a future spouse, so it only makes sense that I talk about that. I'm striving to become a better Muslim on a daily basis. I perform all my fardh duties and aim to incorporate as much of the Sunnah of our beloved Prophet Muhammad ﷺ as I possibly can. But I'm far from content with where I'm at and want to keep growing. I'm currently taking online courses from Eman Academy on Aqidah and Fiqh to further cement my foundational knowledge of the Deen, while simultaneously taking a course in Arabic for the sole intention of understanding the Quran in it's original, purest, and most beautiful form. This is a long-term goal, which I am committed to, but my aim is to reach an intermediate level by January inshaAllah. I can read Arabic with Tajwid Alhamdulillah, I just never learnt to understand it. So ideally I'd love to find someone that wants the same thing or already knows the language and is willing to help me on my way inshaAllah. My intention is to be fluent before children, so I can help them learn the language of our Deen. I try my best to follow the Quran and Sunnah as a guideline for how to live my life as the salaf al-salih (first three generations of Muslims) practiced and understood their religion. I'm pretty strict regarding this and will not entertain or compromise on anything that falls outside this framework. I'm completely happy to correct myself if there's anything I do that contradicts or goes against it - truth over pride. I always like to think critically and don't like the concept of blind faith; I believe we should know the reason behind why we do things rather than acting upon them purely because we were told to. I don't take part in celebrations or any form of bidah such as khatams or milaads, so if you do, then it's a definite no from me. I also choose not to listen to music or watch movies. I do however watch educational documentaries, Islamic lectures and the odd football/cricket match. I'm not materialistic and try my best to live as simply as possible. I hope to one day live off the grid on a farm or in the mountains somewhere, as I believe it to be the purest environment to raise my children, away from the fitna of the modern world. I've been doing my best to try and shift towards a more minimalist lifestyle as I feel we waste a lot of our money nowadays on things that don't really matter when people who are less fortunate could benefit from it. Also, I'd prefer someone who shares the vision of home-schooling their children as that's definitely something I'm 100% committed to. I'm not a fan of social media and don't use it as I find it to bring about more harm than good. I only use WhatsApp to keep in touch with family and friends, but apart from that, I'm pretty disconnected Alhamdulillah. I'm pretty chill, patient, easy to get along with, and rarely ever lose my temper. Since I've lived in six different countries, I've got friends from all over the world, so nationality or race aren't really factors for me. As our body is a gift to us by Allah ﷻ, I believe it's important to look after yourself, both physically and mentally. I try to do this by keeping a healthy diet and exercising every other day - mostly running, biking or going to the gym (football too, if I get the time).
Describe your ideal spouse
I'm looking for someone practising and motivated, lives by the Quran and Sunnah, and whose ultimate goal is Jannah. Someone generous and caring, that wants to live a simple life and raise the next generation of pious Muslims inshaAllah. Most importantly, someone who understands the purpose of our creation was to worship Allah ﷻ alone, so we should strive to please him as much as we can, even if it means giving up some worldly pleasures. I would also prefer someone that isn't career-driven and would like to take the role of a full-time mother, as the mother's love and presence is the most vital part of their upbringing. I've got no issues with her working part-time, full-time before the kids come along, or once they're older. I see no reason for the complete prioritisation of a career over raising children in an attentive, loving, and Islamic environment. Since motherhood a full-time job, I believe household chores should be a shared responsibility. I'm pretty passionate about cooking and know how to manage household jobs so I would always do my bit inshaAllah. I will also contribute equally to their schooling and education. This doesn't mean I expect her to be locked up at home all the time by any stretch, I'd want her to be active in the community, take part in activities, further her education etc. Ultimately, my priority lies with the family, so I'd never pick a career that requires me to be away most of the time. Minimum Requirements: Prayer: you must be praying all your Salah, no ifs or buts, there is no excuse to miss your prayers. Hijab: I class the proper hijab as loose clothing which does not reveal the body shape with the awrah fully covered (no turbans or hair showing). No makeup in public and no plucking/reshaping the eyebrows. My preference is Jilbab/Abaya and I also happily welcome Niqab. Habits: I don't welcome smokers in any shape or form (this includes shisha). Gender interactions: Someone that doesn't freely and unnecessarily mix with the opposite gender and does not have any male friends. Bid'ah: Someone that doesn't associate with any kind of innovations in the religion such as celebrating Mawlid/Milaad or taking part in Khatam/Khatim and mixing cultural beliefs with the Deen. Hayaa: I would have Ghayrah over my spouse and would expect her to have Hayaa in her actions and appearance, and not post her pictures on social media for the world to see. Homeschooling: Believes this is the best way to raise children and is willing to carry this out with me. Social Media: Doesn't use it often, only to keep in contact with friends and family
