Assalaamualaikum warahmathullaahi wabarakaathuhu; I am an Advocate & Patent Attorney. I was employed with a Bank, but quit the Banking industry (as Senior Manager Legal), for religious reasons. My father hails from Andhra, my mother from Tamil Nadu; We are settled in Chennai, but have our roots/relatives/property in Andhra, Tamil Nadu and Bangalore. I aspire to In sha Allah live my life aligned to the Qur'an and Sunnah and am keen on a partner who shares this view. SOME ESSENTIALS TO BE BORNE IN MIND BEFORE PROCEEDING WITH MY PROFILE PLEASE: I wear a beard as shown in my recent photographs herewith, and I plan to continue having the beard which is a Sunnah of our prophet (peace be upon him). Shaving off the beard as a condition for marriage is not agreeable please. I used to enjoy music and movies, but have now given up music, watching movies etc., since they are not encouraged in Islam. Life however has been quite interesting and rewarding even without music and films - Alhamdulillaah. I enjoy picnics/traveling, long walks, drives and eating out with family/near & dear as pastimes. I live and work in Chennai and am also pursuing my PhD; so relocation (as a condition for marriage) is not possible in these circumstances. I try and keep away from shirk and innovations in Islam. I try to follow Islam (Quran and Sunnah) as best as I can, although am not fanatic. I aspire to In sha Allah start an Interest-free lending firm for the needy, from my own halaal earnings, if and when I have earned enough to sustain one. I hope and pray for a (preferably unmarried) girl who has lived her life aligned to Islam and who comes from such a family/background. I don't mind even if she is not highly educated. But she must have (basic) knowledge of Islam and the desire and practice of following it. I choose not to write more about my marriage debacles on this space, but would definitely explain everything to a prospect/her parents who In sha Allah is/are willing to hear me out, so they can decide whether or not to proceed further.
