Write an introductory description about yourself exclusively for your future spouse?
Assalamu alaikum, I am not sure how much info one needs to put in. Here is a brief one about me. Simple minded, honest, loving and caring, trustworthy - some positive words that describe me Impatient/anxious (sometimes), sensitive, a bit reserved, emotional(At times I get too emotional) - some flaws in me (Working on these) My friends say I'm a fun person to hang around. I am book smart but not street smart at all! I am a simple person, don't like showing off . Don't like putting on too much makeup, jewellery, you know the usual stuff. I would love to travel and see places, especially the beaches! I believe that trust is something which is gained with time and once lost, its difficult to get it back. So while I expect others to keep my trust, I myself make sure I don't break the trust of others. I have a set of ideals and values which I stick to no matter what. I come from a middle-class Muslim family. I was raised in a liberal way. I was not what you would say a good Muslim until about 3 years ago. I was not into any haram habits as such or for that matter any haram relationship either. I used to dress decently but never observed hijab. I used to pray only during Ramadan. My life took a turn when I met a revert girl who moved into my flat. The one question that started bugging me was What's there in Islam that made a brahmin girl accept it against her family and go through so many difficulties? We became really close and she was one of the first influences in my life that made me accept Islam. Alhamdulillah we were able to get her married to a Muslim and she is really happy now :) I started learning about Islam from that time. I am trying hard to learn about my beautiful deen. She always maintains that I helped her a lot but I believe it was the other way round. She brought me closer to my deen :) Apart from the rituals I try to work hard on myself, try to learn from my experiences, try to derive lessons from difficult situations, try to better myself. Also I love reading, learning about Islam. And have enrolled in courses for the same and plan on doing so in future as well I stay away from going to dargahs, peer babas, fortune tellers, wearing amulets/taweez and so on. This is something that I will not be able to do ever, after knowing the truth. One more important thing is interest. I don't believe in taking up loans to buy a car or for a grand wedding. For that matter loan for anything. I prefer staying with limited means my whole life than take loans to lead a luxurious life. If our own income isn't halal, then no matter where we spend it, it won't be of any good. That's how I see it. I don't expect my spouse to be a 100% good Muslim because I'm not. But I would definitely want him to be ready to improve gradually. The small steps we take to better ourselves may be big in the sight of Allah. JazakAllahu khair for your patience :)
Describe your ideal spouse
Calm, patient, truthful, caring He shouldn't be short tempered.Even if he has anger issues, he must know how to control it. He should be a good muslim, not one who just follows the rituals but one who internalises Islam. One with whom I can discuss, debate freely without being scared of being judged. One who practices what he preaches and doesnt just do it for showing off (I hate that!) He should have a drive to learn Islam and help the community in different ways.
